Montgomery's 1st Annual Kolacky Days Softball Tournament was held in conjunction with the 31st Annual Celebration in 1965.  It was a 16-team tournament sanctioned by the American Softball Association.   In 1967, a local team brought home 4th Place.  However, it took until 1983 for the 1st local entry, Czech House, to win the Kolacky Softball Tourney Championship.  Even after 50 years, the Softball Tournament is still as fun and enjoyable as the first one!

Registration Information

The Annual Softball Tournament takes place on Saturday and Sunday of Kolacky Days.  If interested, here are a few things to consider:

  • Entry Fee: $225 per team with payouts based off the number of teams entered. 20 Teams Maximum.

  • Format: Double Elimination

  • Rules: USA/ASA Standard Rules, 4 HR / Game

  • Class: C, D, and E team certifications welcome

  • Check In: 1 Hour Before 1st Game at Concessions

  • Need to be ready 30 minutes before game time as we will start early if possible, to avoid delays.

  • Balls will NOT be provided! (Bring your own balls)

  • This tournament will now be a bats provided wood bat tournament (teams can bring their own slow pitch softball wood bats as well (NO BASEBALL WOOD BATS!))

  • Big Payouts

  • Concessions & Refreshments available. Money raised is donated to a local organization. (NO CARRY-ONS AS MONTGOMERY CITY CODE 1050.04 PROHIBITS IT)
