In 1980, the Pulling Farmers Association of Montgomery started and sponsored a Tractor Pull in conjunction with Kolacky Days.  A total of 43 tractors were entered from Montgomery, New Prague, Lonsdale, Kilkenny, Belle Plaine, Arlington, New Germany, Watertown, and Norwood in six stock classes.  At the 50th Annual Kolacky Days in 1984, the event became known as the Truck & Tractor Pull when trucks were added to the pull. 

The Truck & Tractor Pull is still going strong because of a great group of volunteers.  The event starts at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, after the Grand Day Parade.  The pull takes place about one (1) mile south of Montgomery off of Minnesota State Highway 13.

The Truck & Tractor Pull is divided into the following three divisions:

• Hot Farm & Pro Farm Tractor

• Hobby Stock & Improved Stock Tractor

• Truck & Semi
